Steve:

Hello, over return, happy and new listeners. This is Steve Bennet-Martin,

Stephen:

and this is Stephen Martin-Bennet. And welcome

Steve:

to a lifetime of happiness. The podcast where we take you on our journey through some of the movies, TV shows, and other pizza pop culture that are helping to keep us happy while hopefully bringing a smile to your face along the way.

Stephen:

And today we're continuing magical March with the 2007 cult classic Stardust with returning special guest Ronnie diamond. Welcome back hall.

Ronnie:

Thank you guys for having me sisters, a stall

Stephen:

It's been so long since you've been here, it feels like you've been avoiding us.

Steve:

I promise

Ronnie:

you too. I haven't been avoiding. It has been we have been living under a Myas movement and it's finally all coming together. We have moved out of the hotel that in which we were living for quite some, and now we are into the apartment. Things are finally getting settled. There are paintings on the wall, you know, furniture's clean, everything's coming together. Rooms are coming together. Everything's like, just imagine when we did beauty in the beast or every, and all the dishes are dancing, everything's, everyone's happy. and the servants are fun. Finally coming round to, you know, coming to my expectations when it comes to my training,

Steve:

I can only imagine what must go through their minds when they're biting their tongues with Yani.

Ronnie:

They feel the horse is strap

Stephen:

and now that you're finally in your new home, you can start having, you know, the ladies who lunch and, you know, start having a proper luncheons and everything.

Ronnie:

Exactly. The ladies at luncheon. And that's very true. I, because I have been it's true because I have

Steve:

been Yeah. And another thing that's changed since you were last on, is the long awaited for you. Giled age came out. What were your impressions on the series?

Ronnie:

Oh, I'm so happy with it. You know, the cast is fantastic in my opinion, I, anything with Chris and I'm addicted immediately. So I love her that. This was the perfect role for her. She is in my mind, the image of sophistication on the screen today, there aren't that many actresses or actors really to be quite bad, who can pull that off. And she can, she's always, even when she's not in a role like that, there's always something about bling under the surface, as it relates to her, you can is feel that just below that sophistication, that refinement can come out and smack you across the

Steve:

ass.

Stephen:

yes, because nothing says class and refinement, like a smack across the ass.

Steve:

Amen.

Stephen:

What about you

Ronnie:

in which class well,

Stephen:

well, what about you, darling? What's been making you happy. Well,

Steve:

I would say love is blind season one, which I was halfway through, and then I sucked you into it. So now you've been invested in all of these messy people's messy relations ships. And

Stephen:

so for our listeners that may not be aware of this train wreck of a show. What is love is blind?

Steve:

Well, as we mentioned in last week's episode where I was watching season two, I blew through season two and having never watched season one love is blind is a, they call it a social experiment where a 16 men and 16 women date each other through like a glass wall where they never get to see each other though. And so they have to fall in love without ever. Seeing one another and what they've looked like, and then they get engaged before meeting each other. And then they get married is the ultimate idea, but then there's like a month between the proposal to the marriage to see whether they can make it spoiler alert. Most of them don't. But then the ones that do, like some of the ones that really do are like really amazing strong couples. Right. But the ones that don't are just so messy that it's just fun watching that train wreck explode. There's something hor

Stephen:

we're looking at you season one, Jessica. Yeah.

Steve:

Like there's something just like horribly exciting about watching a couples at the altar, having to them say I don't Yeah. And

Ronnie:

it's just, oh wow. Is

Steve:

that what they say? Yeah. Like, do you take the, so and inside of a, your lovely weed spouse and they're like, I don't, and then that's how it ends for each couple. But then season two, having just air had the reunion, which was a fantastic train wreck, because shake is a garbage dump human being. Oh, he was the

Stephen:

one, the womanizer, the womanizer. And then he also hit on. Vanessa Leche, the host like

Steve:

right in front of her husband. Yeah. It was a train wreck, but season one, having raps so long ago actually has this like two years later, where are they now special? That we're halfway through watching right now.

Stephen:

And, and the one that was the biggest mess, she's still a mess is mess causing problems. Even at these people's two year anniversary. Like it's, it's really sad.

Steve:

It is an awesome what's been making you happy. My love.

Stephen:

Well, I have been getting back into Pokemon legends archist for the Nintendo switch. Yes. And I am going to finish it like you there's. I don't know, there's been so much TV to catch up on and we were watching things like inventing Anna. Oh, that was awesome. Oh my gosh. Have you seen it? Oh

Ronnie:

my God. Yes. I told you two to watch it. I think I got for once and for once in, in the last 30 years, I've watched something before you did I, that is, that is a, now that is a trend train

Steve:

wreck. Yes. Oh yes. It was. And such a train wreck, but a fantastical one. And

Stephen:

it's funny that she, it's another one where her accent is like Mora rose. Like you want to impersonate it, but you can't like, it's almost impossible to impersonate this accent, unless you're saying things like you look P and to know that it was mostly based on facts based on fact, and that this woman conned all of these people and like. I know that they wanted us to feel sorry for her. And I will admit the only time that I felt sorry for Anna was right at the end, whenever she was going far away. And she was like, you'll come visit me. Right. You'll come visit me. Right. And I was like, oh God, she knows. She's all alone and scared. And she finally let down the wall for one second. Yeah. And that made me feel vulnerable for her. But the rest of the time, I'm like, girl, you did this to yourself. Like you had this coming. It's

Steve:

a very unique skillset.

Ronnie:

Yeah, it it's called it's called lunacy.

Stephen:

Andry

Steve:

what's that like,

Ronnie:

Ronnie, he, I mean, well, lemme tell you a little about it. You know, that was based off this whole mini series was based off of my life. Don't you know? No, no, but when I watched this, I'm sitting there and Brent too, I, I was ahead of Brent, so he watching it another room and I would hear him periodically. And I don't say this ever, but he does say this once in a while. And he, he was like, Jesus Christ And I was like, I was like, oh my gosh. And he would be in the other room, just absolutely ack. And I thought to myself, oh, I know where he is now, but I mean, this is a complete narcissist. I mean, she doesn't care about anyone else, but herself. And if there's anyone to pity at all in that series it's or in real life, as it were, it would be her poor parent. The rest of are her little brother or something, nobody else. And then she, she got, she got her just desserts.

Stephen:

Well, and what they, and the parents were like, you know, her siblings turned out fine. And from an early age, you could see there was something wrong. So obviously there is a wire across in her head. One of my favorite things besides the amazing

Ronnie:

Jeffrey Dahmer's parents said the same thing.

Steve:

yeah.

Stephen:

Yeah. But like the Chandel land people like Katie Lowes, Anna deve Smith, Jeff Perry yeah. Had a great cast and Kate Burton who are all on a lot of the other Shada shows, but Anna Clumsky who from my girl back in the day and then VE mm-hmm recently, like, I love that she's having a career Renaissance. Yes. So that that's been making me happy. Yes. And is she,

Steve:

she also

Ronnie:

star in that show about the, the drug dealers

Steve:

in Arkansas? Oh, that was Anna delve was, yeah.

Stephen:

Oza yeah, that was Ozark. Julia Garner, I she's that played Anna delve is in Ozark. I, and they say that she's most likely gonna win the Emmy this year. I can imagine

Steve:

that.

Stephen:

Probably two Emmy's actually,

Steve:

well, I don't know about Ozark cuz that just ended up being too dark for us. Right. But everything we were going through in real life at the time, that can

Ronnie:

be, I know that I know the shows you watch and half of them are too dark for me. That nurse ratchet was art for me. And even Brent, by episode four, we had to turn that off. It was affecting me and then, but you couldn't get through Ozark. What can you watch? Billions

Stephen:

I've actually never watched billions. I made it through succession though, which I call the cursing show.

Ronnie:

Yeah, that's what I called it. Too. Friend loves that. I said, this is trash trash for

Steve:

trash

Stephen:

well, I told Steve, I said, it's the first show that I've watched where I don't like any of the characters, but I have to know what happens.

Steve:

Yes. Mm-hmm and meanwhile, a movie where you love all of the characters very deeply is Stardust.

Stephen:

Isn't it, babe? Yes. This was Steve getting us back on track. So Stardust was an amazing movie. I remember seeing it because the trailers were just fantastic. I love Michelle Feifer. I love Robert Nero. I enjoy Claire to AEs. And so I was all about going to see this and I love new fairy tales and,

Steve:

This was very much a

Stephen:

fairy tale. Oh yeah. And so. It just really grabbed my imagination. It was well written well acted. And, and it's just one of those that I don't get tired of watching it. Like when we watched it again recently, it has probably been, I've seen it over 10 times and I still just thoroughly enjoy it.

Steve:

Yeah. And, and it reminds

Ronnie:

you that the virtues of the

Steve:

British Yes. And Ronnie, what about this movie made you wanna jump on as a special guest?

Ronnie:

When I saw she five, a rejuvenate her body and become youthful and wondrous again, I said, sisters, eat a star.

Stephen:

yes. Tell us a little bit about the background on the movie. My love. Sure. I learned a lot about this

Steve:

movie. Well, I think, well, Ronnie, do you, do you wanna go into the names and numbers of it all?

Ronnie:

Well, I heard my love called out to me in the night. I said, my love

Steve:

I'm here. yes.

Stephen:

Well, it's not you other one. Wow.

Steve:

Stardust is a 2007 romantic fantasy adventure film directed by Matthew Vaughn and co-written by VA and Jane Goldman Vaughn, we from Xmen first class in kick ass, which Goldman also co-wrote and Jane Goldman was also known most recently for the Kingsman movies one and two.

Stephen:

Now what is interesting is that Matthew Vaughn was the original director for the third Xmen movie and the original trilogy that dealt with the dark Phoenix saga. Yes. And he had to back out because the studio was pressuring him with a very condensed timeline to get it done. And then we ended up with a train wreck with, with a train wreck of a movie with the, the first time them screwing up the. Phoenix saga. And so I all, I still wish that we would've been able to see Matthew VA's version of it because the script and everything was that we saw was not what he had planned. So I trust Matthew VA with what he can do because Xmen first class was a great movie. And I always just think of what could have been. Yes.

Steve:

And this is based on Neil Gaiman's 1999 novel of the same name. And while many of us might know him as the writer of Coline and American gods which were turned into a movie in a show, respectively, you know him from your favorite book ever as

Stephen:

well, isn't it? Yes. He was one of the co-authors of good Omans, which is also so a mini series on Amazon prime. And he really just captures the spirit of new fairy tales and he writes them in such a way that They're not unapproachable. Like I, you know, some people, if they try to read the Lord of the rings and token spends three pages talking about a tree, Neil Gayman doesn't Neil Gayman doesn't do that. Yes. I'm

Steve:

not

Ronnie:

in a strong position to criticize. I can spend three pages talking about a tree

Stephen:

yes. Or you don't go out in nature. You barely know what a tree looks like.

Ronnie:

I had this here planted, parted plant

Stephen:

Thank you for proving my case. Yep.

Steve:

Now it does start in ensemble cast. So here we go.

Stephen:

Clear Danes as IVA, AR

Steve:

Cox as Tristan thorn, Thor,

Stephen:

Sienna Miller as Victoria,

Steve:

Ricky JVA as far the fence,

Stephen:

Jason Fleming is

Steve:

PRI Robert ever Asus.

Stephen:

Peter OTU as the king,

Steve:

Michelle Feifer as

Stephen:

Lamia, Henry Cavil as Humphrey and

Steve:

Robert Genero as captain Shakespeare

Stephen:

with narration by sir Ian

Steve:

McAllen. Yes. And you probably recognized more than half of those names, but for those not in the no Claire Danes star in Homeland, the hours, my so-called life and the 1996 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet,

Stephen:

what is really fun about this is that CLA Danes was not the first, second, third or fourth choice for this role. She was actually the fifth. Oh, because Anne Hathaway, Scarlet Johansen, Sarah Michelle Galler, and Jessica Alba all and down the role of IVA now of those people, I can easily see Anne Hathaway and Sarah Michelle Geller, fantastically, starring as IVA in this movie. Claire Danes did a phenomenal job and I'm so glad she did it. But of the other four ladies, Anne and Sarah Michelle could have easily

Steve:

done it. Yes. And especially since back in the day before black widow won you over in the MCU, you didn't wanna see Scarla Johansen in anything ever at all. Not at all. Yes. And char

Ronnie:

I'm glad they chose Claire Danes.

Steve:

I love her. Yeah. Yeah. She was great in this and char lake Cox is a little wee baby version of Daredevil in this movie, cuz he is now in the modern day MCU about like five times more muscular and bigger and older. And he was also Jonathan in the theory of everything. Do

Stephen:

you know the interesting part with this is that He was the first choice by VA for the role. Yeah. And the studio was like, no, sorry, we're not casting an unknown. Yeah. To lead our movie. But once VA had CLA Danes, Michelle Fier and Robert Niro and their parts, they're like, fine. You can have your unknown. Yes.

Steve:

And he is now known yes. Ands Miller was Tia and American sniper and Tammy and layer cake. And all of that means nothing to me cuz I don't

Stephen:

know her well and so interesting thing, and this is nothing againsts Miller as a person. I'm sure she's wonderful. Anything I've seen her in, she just comes off as awful. Like I don't like her character in this and other things I've seen her in. I'm like, I don't like you either. Like, and I think. It's just probably the roles. It just comes across

Ronnie:

as a nag. And just, and this, just this, you know, some hard and you don't really want to be around, you know, exactly. Just somebody that just says let's just go cross the street and avoid him if we can.

Steve:

I know. Or invite him onto your podcast, everyone. Two or,

Ronnie:

or dis inherit him from the will.

Steve:

Let's let's not do that. Not so funny. Now let's not go that far. No, no, no, no.

Ronnie:

To see everybody back next month now won't

Steve:

now for more iconic roles, Ian, the Callen is me Nito from the Xmen movies.

Stephen:

Yep. And Henry Cavil is the w the Witcher. And he also is the most recent Superman. Yes.

Steve:

Meanwhile, Jason Fleming looked very familiar. He was Tom and lock stock and two smoking barrels and was Thomas button in the curious case of Benjamin, but. Yep.

Stephen:

And Rupert Everett as succumbs is known from my best friend's wedding. And we've, we of course talked about Robert de Niro in last week's episode of big Phish with some things, but it's also Robert de Niro and everyone should know him. Yes.

Steve:

Similarly, Michelle Feifer I got a little confused at first, but the second is saw her. I was like, I do know her after all, because she's Janet Vandy in the MCU movies as aunt man's mother-in-law.

Stephen:

Yeah. But she's also clear in what lies beneath. Velma and hairspray, but most importantly, as every gay should know her she's Salina Kyle Catwoman in Matt man returns.

Steve:

Oh, I mm-hmm here's my gay card, babe. I have to go back to yeah, like everyone I'll learn it back later.

Ronnie:

and, and she's also miss Baltimore

Steve:

craps. Well

Stephen:

was the, yes, that was the Velma roll in here. Oh, so ho whenever we do hairspray, we might have to have you back on for that.

Ronnie:

What roles shall I play?

Steve:

never mind. All right. And Rickie Jase is a brilliant writer in comic who does a lot of standup specials and is very big, especially overseas. But today's most known for being the writer and star of the British version of the office, which came overseas and became quite a bit of a thing here.

Stephen:

Yep. And most people know him hosting award shows like the golden globe awards. Yes The film was distributed by paramount pictures with a budget of between 70 and 88.5 million. It released on August 10th, 2009 in the us achieving a total box office of 137 million

Steve:

worldwide. Yes. And the film has since done well in syndication with vanity fair, writing an article for its tenure anniversary and applauded it for being endlessly likable. I

Stephen:

would definitely agree. Yes.

Steve:

And so for those of you who will like me had never seen it before it came to talk about it on the podcast, I would definitely recommend watching it. And then coming back, it is on Netflix now, unless you're in India, apparently. Yes. But yeah, watch it, cuz we're about to go into the, the depths of the, the discussion

Stephen:

and just like any real great modern day fairy tale. It has a narrator kind of like enchanted had Mary Poppins as its narrator. This one has certain Julie Andrews yes, Julie Andrews. And this one has certain Ian McLellan and it starts with. A philosopher once asked, are we human? Because we gaze at the stars or do we gaze at them because we are human. It's pointless. Really do the stars gaze back. Now that's a question.

Steve:

The answer ends up being yes, they do. Yeah. The English village of wall lies near a stone will all that borders, the magical kingdom of storm hold. I wonder where it got its name from probably from

Ronnie:

your backyard.

Steve:

I think it's stone wall, a wall, a guard prevents anyone from crossing between the opening and the wall. And the guard tells Dunton thorn that the opening has been guarded for hundreds of years then says there's no reason to have a guard. It's just a field, not a portal to another world. Well,

Stephen:

and then Dunson tricks the guard and crosses through the wall to a magical marketplace where he meets an enslaved princess named una who offers him a glass. Snowdrop snow cap in exchange for a passionate kiss. Unna can only be freed if the witch ditch water Sal dies. Ronnie laughs. Because that was his nickname in college. Yes. Oh,

Ronnie:

old ditch water, Sal old ditch water

Stephen:

Dunston and Unna spend the night together. And nine months later, the wall guard delivers a baby to Dunston saying that the baby's name is tr Tristan.

Steve:

Yes. And in the book, the main character's name is tri with an R But was shortened to Tristan. And so it was easier to pronounce, which I think is a good call. Yeah.

Stephen:

Cuz when I, the book and I was reading it as Tristan and I was like that. That doesn't roll off off the, yeah, it does not roll off the tongue. So as I was reading it, I just renamed it to Tristan. Like the movie, it was much easier to read. Yes.

Steve:

Now, in this part, like if you grew up in a town named wall yeah. And it had a wall where beyond it apparently was magical wonders, would you want to cross the wall?

Stephen:

Of course. Like I'm shocked that more people don't do it. And the thing I also wonder about because the wall is not that tall. Yes. And obviously the only way to, for it to be magical is to go through the opening because easily somebody could have jumped over any other part of the wall itself because it's five

Steve:

feet high. Yes. Not even.

Stephen:

So they easily could cuz the guard only guards the hole in the wall and they could have taken a ladder and climbed over any other part. I'm guessing that the portal only exists. Where the opening is. Yes.

Steve:

And what was interesting was learning that it is truly a two-way portal where people could technically come and go as they please now that, but the people in

Stephen:

store are like,

Steve:

I don't want to go to England. Yeah. Who would want to? Yeah, no, but if, if it had been a one way portal, would you have been interested in crossing it?

Stephen:

If I lived in the town of wall and I had the life that Tristan had, I would've been making a run for

Steve:

that border yes. And so getting into Tristan's life it is now 18 years later. And in

Stephen:

the, the dying king of storm hold has four remaining of his eight children. There's PRI SCUs Tertius and SEPM. And for

Steve:

those of you who are not familiar with like Latin roots and words and things like that, those names are 1, 2, 3, and seven.

Stephen:

Yeah. And the youngest. The daughter has been missing and they all kind of blame SEPM for possibly killing their sister. The king had expected them to kill each other off the way he had done to his brothers back in the day, so that there, there had only been one remaining and that son would obvious take the throne because that didn't happen. The king throws a Ruby into the sky decre that its successor will be the first of the FRA IAL sons to recover it. Only he of Royal blood can restore the Ruby and whoever does will be the new king. Well, the king has great aim because the gym hits a star and both fall out of the skies.

Steve:

I've heard that before

Stephen:

landing in storm hold. And after some more death, there are only two princes remaining PRI and septs, the oldest and the youngest. And they're both independently going to search for the stone. And what they don't realize is that the brothers that are killed off are trapped as ghosts in the condition that they died until the new king is crowned.

Steve:

Yes. And so with that, Ronnie, which of the favorite like deaths or like dead sons was yours? Like, which did you like the most or think was funniest?

Ronnie:

Mm, well, definitely not the one though. Who lost his face that

Stephen:

freaked me out. Oh yeah. The like, whenever they killed off Rupert Everett and his face was all smashed. Cause that's how he landed. That one bothered me the most. And I'm like, so, and I have to wonder, did they just do that in CGI or did they make Rupert ever wear like prosthetics. To do that for all of his role, cuz that would've been really uncomfortable. Mm-hmm

Ronnie:

But yeah, I, I could, I could live in any form as a case, as long as it didn't affect my face.

Stephen:

something interesting was that all the princes were a clothing where a pattern spells out their number in Roman numerals. No. Now com and those are composed of smaller Arabic numerals. And furthermore SEPM wears a vest with the numeral seven on each button. Yes. Yes.

Steve:

That's dedication that you don't don't normally pick up on if you're just watching it casually. Yeah. And whenever prime is seen traveling on his quest for the stone, he is alone. Cuz prime is Latin for first. Yeah. However, when we see septs on his quest, he's oftentimes, or the majority of the times accompanied by six servants making a total of seven, cuz sepsis is Latin for seventh.

Stephen:

And I love that little detail. I thought that was. really cute. And it wasn't until we were studying this and I looked back and I was like, oh yeah, PR was traveling by himself in his own carriage where sepsis was on horseback with six other people on horseback.

Steve:

Yep. Now, meanwhile, in wall, Tristan's grown up. He's in love with Victoria, although no understands why she thinks he's a simple boy, but he knows he'll do anything for her, which ends up with him getting fired from his job at the market. And while Victoria's clearly in love with Humphrey and Humphrey delights in humiliating Tristan,

Stephen:

Poor Tristan, and like the good thing is you see Tristan goes home and his father absolutely loves him. Adores him, supports him, tries to cheer him up and guide him on the right path. And doesn't even really get mad at him for losing his job at the market. And it's a nice counterbalance. To how Victoria treats him and how Humphrey treats him that he does have this place that he can go. That's kind of like a port and a storm. Yes. Although

Steve:

if I was his father, I would be like, get away from that horrible woman. She's clearly in love with someone else and she's a brat and who cares? Yeah. I, I do agree with that. That I would not be like here's wine and, or here's champagne go try and woo her. Yeah. And so with that, he does try one more time to Woohoo with some champagne over a midnight picnic. The, there, she reveals that Humphrey is going to, I switch to get an engagement ring for Victoria and we'll be proposing to her one week from now on her birthday.

Stephen:

Yep. and Tristan said I would go far beyond IP switch for you. You know, I would go to London or Paris or Africa or the gold mines of California. And just then they see a falling star. He vows to retrieve it in return for her hand in marriage. Now, what do you both think of Victoria as a character?

Steve:

Ronnie, I'll let you go first.

Ronnie:

Well, I'm not a fan of her because I see her when I look in the mirror, I know how she can be witch the men with her feminine charms. So no, I can see right through that. That's a cat, she's a hell cat. I say, get away, Tristan, get away right now.

Steve:

yeah, I, I feel like there's something relatable to Tristan in this moment that we all had points in our youth when we were a little more, are ignorant over what we need versus what we want. Yep. And she's a traditionally attractive girl that he's willing to overlook a lot of the obvious red flags. And I think we've all been in that point where we've lusted after someone, despite red flags left and right.

Stephen:

And I, I also see it as the thing of, he doesn't know himself at the his point. And he thinks that because she's the most desirable woman in town, allegedly that that's what he wants and needs. And so he's going to ignore all the signs that are there to go after it. And I'm like, hello? My twenties.

Ronnie:

yeah. I mean, and that's, and that's just, it, that's what you touch on, right? I mean, in all sincerity, he is an innocent, he has not yet been corrupted by any means. He's been raised in a loving home. We don't really know that much about her. She's a little privileged we can tell. And, but just because you're one doesn't, Minger the other. And she, I often got the feeling that she was maybe just a tad, her character was a tad older than his, just a tad where she knew not necessarily, but I always felt just maybe a little bit. And she could, she had, she had the knowledge of manipula manipulation and with her machination, she could control him. She's she's an evil cat yes.

Stephen:

And run. Yeah. I, I definitely agree with that. She knows what she's doing. And even at that point, whenever she knows that Humphrey's about to go to iwi to get a diamond for her, that she's like, well, If someone brings me a star, well, I'll just ignore the diamond ring and I'll go with the person that brings me the star. Like she doesn't actually care about Humphrey or who she marries. Yeah. She just cares about what they can do for her.

Steve:

Yes, exactly. No Boyo and meanwhile, Tristan learns that his mother is from beyond the wall. Andris sees the snow, the snow cap from his mom, from his father, the piece of magic chain, his father cut from her her, when she was held captive by the witch. Yep. And a Babylon candle that she left for him, which can take the user to any desired location, Tristan lights, it originally thinking of his mother. But then he thinks with his penis and, and thanks to Victoria and is quest and is transported to the fallen star who is personified as a beautiful woman named Dain. When she wakes up in the crater, her leg was, but she found the King's necklace and put it on.

Stephen:

And I love the interaction whenever they first got together. And it shows kind of how. Innocent. He is. And how different the world of storm hold is from England. Yes, because he's like, have you seen the star? And she's like, yeah, this is where it fell. It is. Or if you wanna be really specific up there pointing to the sky is where this blood necklace came out of nowhere and knocked it out of the heavens where it was mining its own business. And over there is where it landed. And right here, this is where it got hit by a magical flying moron.

Steve:

You're the star. You're the star really? Oh, wow. I'm sorry. I had no idea. You'd be oh, I may I just say in advance that I'm sorry. Sorry for what? For this. And then it takes out the enchanted chain and ties it around her wrist. Now, if I'm not mistaken, this means you have to come with me. You're going to be a birthday gift for Victoria. My true love.

Stephen:

But of course, nothing says romance, like the gift of kidnapping, injured women. I'm not going anywhere with you, but in the end, she does agree to go with him to Victoria. Because he says that I will use the remnants of the Babylon candle to get you back up into the sky, because unfortunately when she's knocked out, that is the only way for her to get back up and be a star again. Yes.

Ronnie:

And nothing says romance like a big Babylon candle.

Stephen:

is that the euphemism you're using these days?

Ronnie:

Well, that was that a black flame candle or, or from rent. Oh, what to do with my candle?

Steve:

now. Ronnie. And his two sisters resolved to eat the follow Star's heart to recover their youth and replenish their powers.

Stephen:

Yep. Their leader Laia eats the remnants of the earlier Star's heart because she needs the most power and she sets off to find IVA. And I do love that whenever they're deciding they killed, one of is sacrificial animals and they're supposed to close their eyes, reach in, pull out an organ. And whoever gets the most important organ gets to go. And of course, Laia Michelle Fier looks to make sure she's grabbing for the right one. And she's like, oh, I pulled

Steve:

out. It's hot. Yes. And I lo I love this about the sisters, cuz Laia like I knew from Greek mythology, I didn't know the two sisters Mor and IUSA as well, but Laia was the former lover of Zeus and was known for eating children as was Mor Uhhuh. While IUSA was a creature sent by the goddess Heay to eat travelers, which.

Stephen:

I love that like, like the whole way that Neil Gayman, he loves mythology obviously from the Greek God series, but how he weaves it into other stories. Yes, for sure. Laia out on the road runs into ditch water, Sal and una, and Sal gives Laia Ambu grass to get her to speak the truth. And that was the wrong thing to do to the wrong person. And so Laia is pissed and she curses Sal that she'll never be able to see the star, hear the star or feel the star. And Laia continues traveling and get a place where she sets up a wayside in as a trap for a vein. Michelle Fier is fabulous in this, but. It almost is the part that almost wasn't

Steve:

yes. I mean, in the book, the character at a much smaller part, but when Michelle Fier was cast, the part was increased until it became one of the leads, which

Stephen:

is really good because seeing the movie as a whole, you're like, it's fantastic that you have, and they do a really good job balancing this, that you see Tristan, Nevaeh, you see SEPs and you see Laia and the course of their adventures,

Steve:

you know, they're gonna all end up together, but they still do it in a way where it, it just feels organic and really flows. Well, yes, like no drops balls or like missed leads.

Stephen:

Now, Ronnie, whenever you were cast as mammo, how did you feel?

Ronnie:

I felt like I was gonna take all my fire and power and

Stephen:

burn you oh, Ronnie. You're that? That was IUSA. You're the other one.

Steve:

Of that

Ronnie:

big fat based I shall destroy your

Steve:

happiness. now as Tristan walks a vein towards the wall she becomes tired. So Tristan chains her to a tree and promises to bring food. And as absence, a unicorn releases her, but unwitingly takes to Lamia is in where Lamia gives her a hot bath and heals her leg, getting her heart to begin to glow again.

Stephen:

Now it was interesting watching the unicorn use its horn to break the chain. Do you know Ronnie what it was about the unicorns horn that was able to cut through the magic.

Ronnie:

was it the magic unicorn oil deep. It

Stephen:

was the unicorn oil.

Steve:

Is that a brand lube?

Stephen:

no, it's something Ronnie made up in college.

Ronnie:

Don't you remember the story? Some Unal all.

Stephen:

Oh, wait, we have talked about this. You got

Ronnie:

it. Yes we have. But, but similarly related, you know, I've been taking all these videos of VI outside my window. Yes. Today there was a big, a big cow came by a bull sharpen in his horns on the tree. And I thought, well, I see some more unicorn or just right

Stephen:

over there now, now as a quick pause, because you do mention your videos and things. Like I know the, it it's, it it's talked about that cows are respected in India. Like, like in the us, there are some places, you know, where chickens and roosters will run around a city, like in EOR, in Tampa. Are cows just allowed to run wild in India? Like,

Ronnie:

oh yeah. You'll be, there could be a herd on the highway coming through your neighborhood. Maybe you'll hear the calf calling for its mother. Oh yeah. They just run wild like dogs or cats. You, you. There could be pigs or goats, monkeys, all kinds of things. You'll see them all, every little piece of floor and fauna. You'll see it. Just walk around, do what they want. Huh?

Stephen:

Mm-hmm that's fascinating. Oh,

Ronnie:

well, yeah. I mean, I mean, it's really wouldn't have been, I mean, if we go back just a little bit in our country's own history, just a tad or even of European European history, wasn't that long ago when sheep were crossing the road and, you know, people had to wait for the cow to cross. I mean, that's where a lot of our children's nursery rhymes and, and, you know, and stories come from, so this isn't that foreign. It's just, India's still a developing country, but they are considered godlike. They are treasured. Some of them have fabulous pieces of jewelry, things that look as if they had been bought at Tiffany's or hers fabulous pieces, really. And they. PE people feed them. People feed them. They're very quite content. They're very sweet. I mean, I wouldn't go up and touch one or anything, but I mean, you I've walked by them

Steve:

before. So, so we, we were to compare your, your traipsing around India to that of a cow. It's actually a compliment and pretty accurate, huh? Well, I think it's

Ronnie:

quite accurate. I'll walk around naked with modules all the time.

Steve:

And

Stephen:

you do your mating call. I'm sure. okay. Okay. Okay. Yes. Back to

Steve:

the movie. Yes. Tristan discovers Yvan is gone and the stars whisper that she's in danger telling him to get on a passing coach, which happens to be CIS CIS

Stephen:

premises, and they stop at the end. Interrupting LA's attempt to kill Iain. And so Primus hops into Iain's old bath, so interesting that a future want to be king hops in somebody else's dirty bath water, but, you know, and so Laia kills PRI instead. And just as she's trying to kill, our heroes will with magic green fryer, Tristan Neva used the baby on candle to escape with Tristan saying, think of home. And all of a sudden they're transported to the clouds because while he thought of wall, she thought of the heavens and they ended up stuck somewhere halfway in between. Yes.

Steve:

Now, if, if you were to think of home, well, one does never cease I was gonna say, if you were to think of home when they were lighting the candle, where would it have taken you?

Stephen:

I think that

Ronnie:

alphabet

Stephen:

well I, I like, if it, it would depend on like, if it was 18 year old me mm-hmm it would've been Spencer. If it's 40 year old me it would

Steve:

be right here. Okay. Right answer. Yes. And running with you traveling so much, where, where would you, where would it bring you? What, what do you consider home when you think of home now? Well,

Ronnie:

I prefer a snow covered ski cha Okay. You know, I love you know, some, I don't know. No. You know, in all sincerity when you ask that, I mean, our home is wherever we are. And then I think it's, we're fortunate, our parents live close together. Right. And you know, not so much distance in between, but that's something we've been thinking about as we get older and older, I think with every year you think about it a little bit more, but as of this moment, technically we're nomadic

Stephen:

Yeah. I mean, you have moved a lot over the last decade.

Steve:

Yeah. I mean, we have our, our

Ronnie:

home is in, you know, the Washington DC Metro. We have that house, but we both know we'll never live in that again, that will probably always remain a rental property. And then we think of places we would like to live or wouldn't live. And we, we talk about it actually. We've been talking about it quite a bit. Well, you know, but, and it's good to talk about those things, right? It's, it's nice to think and dream and imagine and create, but, but, but I, it's a great question. It's one at this moment to which I cannot provide an

Steve:

answer. Interesting. Yes.

Ronnie:

Other than my parents' fabulous house, I'm always quite comfortable. And at home there or with Brit's parents, that's fabulous too. yes.

Steve:

Now being trapped in the clouds, they are promptly captured by Skype pirates in a flying ship, which is very fantastical. Yes. The leader captain Shakespeare begins interrogating them. And when he hears of the word wall, his mood change, he throws fake Tristan over the side of the boat and takes a vein to his quarters. In truth, he had hidden Tristan away because he's fascinated by England and wants to hear all about it. We learn he's a bit a feminine. Yep. But

Stephen:

one of my favorite things is where Tristan, Ava start to actually bond. And it's before they're into irrigated, they're imprisoned in the pirate ship. They're going to kill us. Aren't they? I don't know. You know, it's funny. I used to watch, I used to watch people having adventures. I envied them.

Steve:

You ever heard the expression be careful of what

Stephen:

you wish for what? So ending up with my heart, cut out. That'll serve me right.

Steve:

No, I, I didn't mean it like that. Look, I admire you dreaming a shot boy. Like me. I could never have imagined an adventure this big in order to wish for it. I just thought I'd find some lump of celestial rock, take it home. And that would be it.

Stephen:

and instead you got me if there's one thing I've learned about all my years watching earth is that Pete, aren't what they may seem. There are shop boys. And there are boys who just happen to work in a shop for the time being, and trust me, Tristan, you are no shop. Boy, you save my life. Thank you.

Steve:

And I, I like this because it goes back to the beginning when he was talking with Victoria. Yeah. And she was like, you're a shop boy. And he said, exactly that he's like, no, I'm just a boy who works for a shop. I have bigger dreams than that. So, you know, we could see right here and there that how evne sees Tristan in a way that no one else really does.

Stephen:

Yep. I love that Shakespeare gives Tristan and a hilarious makeover where his hair magically grows. Yes.

Steve:

The, but it also looks fabulous at that point. It does. And the ship docks at the city. And I also love SHA when Shakespeare explains, like he named himself after Shakespeare, but his like group of barbarian and pirate, Shakespeare spear, like a spear shaking. Yeah. But he Barts with the merchant. Furie about the price of lightning. Furie also mentions to Shakespeare that there is a hunt going on for a fallen star and the captain puts two and two together, but keeps his mouth shut, ditch water, Sal arrives and Shakespeare in, I mean,

Stephen:

leave. And it did interesting because most of Fury's dialogue was Adlib by Ricky. JVE like later when he is talking to Laia and he says, you know she calls him a Two-Face dog and he goes, I can actually get you one of those. They can watch the front of the house and back of the house at the same time. And you know, if you're gonna have somebody. Like Ricky JVE or like Robin Williams and things, you let them do their

Steve:

things. Yeah, for sure. Now, when they get back on the boat, there's a stranger on board. Shakespeare tells his crew that Tristan's his nephew and Ava is the prize for him. He provides them with new clothes, teaches Tristan, how to fence and IVA, how to dance Shakespeare, lets her know that she's a star because of the way she's been glowing, especially when Tristan's around. The first mate is not as dumb as the rest of the crew and knows exactly what's up with the captain and Tristan.

Stephen:

And I do love that, that like anytime the captain slips up with not being raw, the she first mate looks at him and he gets, or the first mate just shakes his head like Ugh. And because the, it seems like the rest of the crew's too dumb to figure it out. and Robert de Niro accepted this role because he actually was having regret for turning down the role of Barb Boso, the pirate in the original pirates of the Caribbean curse of

Steve:

the black Pearl. And which is funny because with the two, I mean, they're both pirates, but I can't think of them being any more different than one another. No, and

Stephen:

I love him in this role and Jeffrey Rush from the house in haunted hill is so good as Barboza. I don't think I can actually imagine de Niro playing

Steve:

Barboza. Yes. And everything happened the way it was meant to happen, but especially being the nineties. I mean, I feel like if it happened or this was the 2000, 2007, well then, I mean, that puts it right on the fence for, and how I feel about Robert Deir playing gay. Where do you stand on that? Ronnie?

Ronnie:

I thought he did really well. And I, and you know, I was thinking about back to it, you know, there used to be a time when there would be straight men who dressed up in women's clothes and they just called it what transvestites or something like that. Yeah. Like, you know, the rock Rocky horror picture show. And so I don't, was he really gay in this movie? Or was it more like the Rocky horror picture show sort of thing?

Steve:

I think that there was a question at the end, because he has like this like winking exchange moment with Henry CA's character. Yeah. That I think that it is more than just him being a feminine. He is.

Ronnie:

Okay. Cuz I hadn't remembered that. And that was something I did think about, you know, for a few minutes I thought, okay, well maybe this cuz you can be, I mean that, that did exist long before.

Stephen:

Yes. Yes. You can be straight and want to wear women's clothes. That's totally a thing.

Steve:

It is. I would say that if it happened today, it might be problematic. But back then I would give it a pass, especially cuz he did it so well and it like the same way, like. We were talking about like intention means a lot between, like we were talking outside and the real world about how like intention and how you feel about it. It like matters a lot more than you know, just the purpose behind it.

Stephen:

Like, and de Niro

Steve:

is an<crosstalk> an ally. Yeah. One thing if he wasn't an ally, if he was like against it, or, you know, anything like that, but the fact that he was an ally played a, you know, pretty straight for lack of a better word for being a gay role. Like he didn't

Stephen:

exaggerate it. Yeah. And he doesn't do anything. I feel that is offensive, offensive or shaming of gay or drag culture at

all.

Steve:

So, or, or nothing that even

Ronnie:

like you know, minimized it or, you know, so cast it down in any sort of like, no, I completely agree. And, and I thought he did a great job and it was fun. And it's still, you could still have lots of people of different audiences and different types and. Different ignorant backgrounds and then people could come together and still probably enjoy

Steve:

this and at least have a laugh or two. And I, I feel like it was really important. I know it's jumping ahead a bit, but like with him being, you know, identifying, you know, his character being part of the L G BT plus whatever that, you know, element O P X, well, as that later on after his fight with SEPM that, you know, his crew really embraces him, like he's all upset. And one of the pirates says like, what's the problem? And he says, it's my reputation. Yeah.

Stephen:

And I, I do like,

Steve:

even though they say, we always knew you were a whoopsie, you know, but ultimately they say you'll always be our captain captain. Yeah. And that just shows the acceptance that makes it even better. Yeah.

Ronnie:

and, and don't forget the year this was made. We, I mean, it wasn't, it was a lot of things had happened after this movie was made, but this movie was made at a time when I, I actually, a lot of things were happening in our country politically around this subject. So I think, yeah, 2007, that's a, it that could have been taken either way. Honestly, we have to be thankful

Steve:

for that. Yep. And let me, I like that where it landed on this. Yep.

Stephen:

So SEPM discovers that he's the last surviving son and only needs the stone to claim the throne, but he also learns the story of Laia and the hunt for the star and that the stone is in possession of the fallen star. And that's when he realizes that with the stone own and the heart of the star he'll have imortality and can be king forever.

Steve:

Yes. And as they're Tristan and. IVA are leaving a port captain Shakespeare whisper something in Tristan's ear and Tristan won't tell Aine what it is. Their relationship has definitely changed. We see her glowing more around him. Yeah. And IVA asked if Tristan could kill a random star for imortality and he says he is no desire for imortality that it would be lonely unless he had someone to share it with

Stephen:

and they have another great interaction.

Steve:

You know, you sort of glitter sometimes. I've just noticed it. Is it, is it normal?

Stephen:

Let's see if you can work it out for yourself. What do stars do?

Steve:

Hmm. Attract trouble. all right. I'm sorry. Let me, do I get another guess? Is it, do they know exactly how to annoy a boy called Tristan thorn?

Stephen:

And see, I love that where you can see that they really have changed. And sepsis shows up to Shakespeare's boat to claim the star just a little too late. He warns his crew. Captain Shakespeare has a fearsome reputation and Shakespeare is doing his makeup and dancing to the can, can, and a dress. And the two crews are fighting when SEPs walks in on Shakespeare and takes him hostage. But thankfully the can Hampton crew comes in, rescues him and SEP jumps out the window. And that's when we get that nice scene that you were talking about where the crews like we always knew, and we love you

as

Steve:

you are. Exactly. Which was beautiful and really needed it, especially at this time. Yes. Now, knowing that I can't make it to the wall in time by walking Tristan and IVA, try to get a ride ditch, water, Sal.

Ronnie:

They tried to pick me up is what

Stephen:

they tried to do. And Sal recognizes the snow cap on Tristan's jacket and wants it back. You know, saying I've been looking for that for 18 years and Tristan says, he'll trade it to her for safe passage to the wall. And she goes, oh, you have my wood. You'll arrive in the exact same condition you are right now. And then he hands it over. And because he no longer has the production of the snow count, she turns him into a mouse, puts him in a cage. And funny thing because of LA's curse from earlier, Sal can't see a vein. Is there, she only thought Tristan was by himself and you have a vein with, would I be correct into thinking that you can either scene or hear me then I would like to tell you that you smell of pee. You look like the wrong end of a dog. And I swear if I don't get my Tristan back as he was, I'll be your personal

Steve:

Poltergeist. Yes. And on the right, in the caravan, she takes the time to confess her love to him because she thinks as a mouse, he can't hear it. You know,

Stephen:

when I said, I knew little about love that wasn't true. I know a lot about love. I've seen it centuries and centuries of it. And it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable all those wars pain lies hate it made me wanna turn away and never look down again. But when I see the man, the way that man, and kind loves, you could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more. Beautiful. See, yes, I know that love is unconditional, but I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable, and strangely, easy to mistake for loathing. And what I'm trying to say is Tristan. I think I love you. Is this love Tristan? I never imagined, I know for myself, my heart, it feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me anymore. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it. I'd wish for nothing in exchange, no gifts, no goods, no demonstrations of devotion, nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart in exchange for mine. And right there, you see that she's the antithesis of Victoria.

Steve:

Yes. And when they arrive at Walmart, Sal makes some he human again, after some, did you just say Walmart yes, I did. They arrive at Walmart and sound like some human again and after some great deals they find an interest where he admits that he heard her words and confesses his love for her in return. He says that Shakespeare told him that his true love was right of his eyes and Tristan agrees and they have a passionate night together.

Stephen:

Which the ghost, one of the ghosts decides to watch.

Steve:

Yes, And that's my favorite

Ronnie:

ghost. You asked me earlier, which one was my favorite ghost? That's my favorite ghost. That one

Steve:

right there. The peeing time. Watch you like the Perver. Yeah.

Ronnie:

All right. A boy. I'm a boy or darling.

Steve:

A boy. yes. Now the next morning, Tristan leaves you sleeping and go with a lock of her hair to tell Victoria he's fallen in love with Heine. He tells the in, keep the message, but the in keep is half awake and half asleep. And so that doesn't go well. Yep. When she wakes up the in keep gives the message backwards. Yep. That he's gone back to his true love. She thinks he's abandoned her for Victoria. And despondently walks towards the wall. Unah notices, IVA walking towards her doom and takes the reins of ditch water cells, caravan to stop her.

Stephen:

Yeah. And you can feel that this is all building to something really big.

Steve:

Oh yeah. Especially as you see then like SEPs coming on one side, Theia coming, the other, other Unna coming from one way. And like, you know, all four are trying to get to stop her from crossing the wall because the moment she crosses the wall, she turns to stone. We don't know that yet. Yes we do. It's a fully swell podcast,

Stephen:

but we haven't gotten to that part in the description.

Steve:

Okay. It's like one paragraph away. So I'll

let

Stephen:

you take it. Okay. So we see that Tristan has grown up a lot and you realize that this whole adventure has been one week and it's hard to believe it's only been a week. And you know, when he gets to Victoria's house instead rowing the rock up there and being kind of meek, he knocks on her door and stands back and Victoria's shocked at his transformation. And she decides she wants to be with Tristan and Tristan tells her to grow up and get over himself. And then when Humphrey shows up and pulls out his tiny little sword, Tristan pulls out his big sword and makes Humphrey pee himself a little bit. And that's when Victoria opens the gift with a lock of hair and it's just star dust. And like you said, we realize uhoh if a vein crosses the wall, she's just rock and there's no way to turn her back.

Steve:

Yes. And as all of players reach the wall, pretty much the same time, Unna saves a vein just as she's about to cross Lamia kills Sal by blowing her head off and captures Unna in a vein, taking them to the witches manner. Shortly after that SEPM and Tristan both pursue Lamia, agreeing to work together for the time being and the wall guard quits. Yep. Saying basically watching Ali says, fuck that. And leaves barging into the castle. Septima recognizes Unna as his long law sister and Unna tells Tristan that she's his mother,

Stephen:

like what you were saying with the guard where he's like, you know, this whole time I was trying to keep people. from going over. I didn't realize we had to worry more about the people on the other side. Yeah, exactly. Now all of these things happening at once there is that quick, sincere moment between Unna and Tristan in the castle. And like, though it's quick, it's heartfelt. And then he sensors. So that she'll be safe so that he doesn't have to worry about both of them at the same time. Yes. And I really like that.

Steve:

Yes. I also really like how SEPM and Tristan team up and SEPM kills the fire breathing witch. Yep. That was that Mor. And Tristan releases the animals that they've been using to likes, cry and see the future by cutting them open and playing with their organs. They all go after her and end up killing her. But then Laia uses a voodoo doll to kill SEPM. Oh yeah. After

Stephen:

she breaks his arms and legs, she, he, she just tosses him in the fountain and he starts floating in air as if he were in water and watching him drowned on dry land. It was a really neat effect in the movie. It was very well. And you can see his helplessness.

Steve:

Yes. And Lomi is about to finish Tristan off when she appears to break down over the loss of her sisters. And I was like, this can't be how it ends. But after she freezes the vein, she FES defeat was just a ruse, which I was like, I knew it. She was faking it. Yep. Admitting that she had to let Tristan rescue her. So it would heal her broken heart, the better for her to eat it all by herself.

Stephen:

Yep. And then Laia tries to kill both of them by breaking all the glass in the castle and flinging it at them. As Tristan, Ava embrace their love, allows her to shine bright ones again. And she goes, what do stars do? And we finally get the answer they

Steve:

shine. Yes. And so with his eyes close, he doesn't see the glowing white light that disintegrates Laia.

Stephen:

Ah, and then tri and retrieves the stone from the ground. And it turns red in his hand. Shocking all of the ghosts and explains that as her son, Tristan is the last male heir of storm hold. Yes.

Steve:

And with him as the new king, the curse is broken and the other ghost gets sucked off yes. And for those, he told you I was a Boyer. Yes. And for, for those not knowing that is homage to your new favorite happy show

Stephen:

ghosts. Yes. On CBS that whenever. So there's ghosts from different time periods on the show. And one of them is a dude, bro, from the nineties. And he convinced the older ghost that when a ghost goes into the light, that that's called being sucked off. Yes and just like one of the other ones, whenever a ghost got pulled to hell, they were like, oh God, it went down on a, yeah.

Ronnie:

I've only in six episodes in, but I love it. Yeah.

Steve:

Yes. Now Tristan becomes king with Ave as his queen Dustin and Unna are reunited and everyone that was important in the movies is still there. Victorious, pissed Shakespeare wings at Humphrey and Humphrey wings spa.

Stephen:

Yep. And then we have the narrator say they ruled for 80 years, but no man can live forever. Except he who possesses the heart of a star and IVA had given hers to Tristan completely. When their children and grandchildren were grown, it was time to like the battle on

Steve:

candle. And then there's a flash of light from inside the Royal quarters. The camera pan up to the sky were two brighter stars have

Stephen:

appeared and they still live happily ever after.

Steve:

Ah, I

Stephen:

love this movie so much, darling. I do too. It was your first time watching it. What did you think? I

Steve:

feel like

Ronnie:

I'm surprised this isn't

Steve:

as big a thing as like, it gives very much like princess bride vibes. Yeah. Yeah. In terms of being like a modern day fairytale with a big cast of names, like I'm surprised that everyone's always like princess bride, princess bride, princess bride, but you don't really hear like, were, were the only people that was like, let's watch star dust. And like, when you just like single handedly recommend something, I have a little bit of skepticism normally cause you love everything

Stephen:

so much and not everything, but I enjoy enjoying things. Yes he does. Yes. And so I don't, I don't like you.

Steve:

He loves you.

Ronnie:

Yes. You do

Steve:

more lies. but yeah, I, like I said, I mean, I, I, I think that it would, it should be bigger than it is because it was really well done for that type of genre of movie. Yeah. Ronnie, what are your final thoughts on the movie?

Ronnie:

I need to find me my own Bible on candle. where

Steve:

would you go with

Stephen:

it? Yeah. Where would you go with a battle on candle? Ronnie bath

Ronnie:

house bed. no, I love this movie. I, I would go anywhere with my battle on candle. I'd take it everywhere. I went and I'd get enough to use them multiple times, but no, the thing, this I've always loved this movie. I've seen it multiple times too, but you know what I really love and we other witches, I love the witches. I love Michelle Fier in this movie. I love her Islamia I love her almost like what we do. We could go with the queen Supreme in the sense that, or the witch Supreme in that she, you know, even ditch water. So, you know, ditch, water, Sal cows before her, when she finds out who she is. Yep. But I love that part. I love, I love their, well, I like their palace when it looks pretty, but I like, I like everything about it. I think for me, I'm glad they really enriched that part and they expanded it from the book to make it into something that would, you know, really go out and be well received by a larger audience in particular me

Stephen:

it's I love this movie because, and I love Claire Danes yes. And it kind of has the opposite. Romantic story of Greece, where in Greece, you change yourself to get the person that you love, where in this it's being yourself is enough and the right person will love you for who you are. And I love that. So joy and also that, you know, you may have thought you knew where your life was going, but just trust the journey and you'll get there. Yes,

Steve:

absolutely. Excellent. Well, it was wonder it does have

Ronnie:
